first day!

So far.. it was amazing! I just got up, only slept four hours, didnt sleep anything in the plane ( Valerietietie, uw pilletje heeft spijtig genoeg niet gewerkt, toch bedankt:-), but im wide awake. Ready to explore Canada by daylight. Yesterday evening we went for a little ride, so i allready saw some of it and it really looks awesome. Everything is just really big. And we stopped at the mcdonald drive thrue and even that got me excited, it was just as in dude, where is my car:-)

My flight was ok aswell. Brussel-Washington i sat next to Robert from California that just got back from a trip to europe.
So we talked about travelling, and things we want to see. Time really flew buy. Got on a lot op peoples nerves because he was just as simple as me. We were like super excited about things like our little tv in front of us, the nice pasta we were served And the big snack we got! It was a good thing i met him, because going true the american douane wasnt that simple. Had to take everything out of my bag, take my shoes and all of my jewelry off ( they lost my favorite necklice, so i ended up going on hand and foot onder the scannerband to find it). The next flight was washington-chicago, where i sat next to an older american women that was so happy that she finally met someone from Belgium, she thought it was necessairy to tell me all about her family:-) she was friendly dough. in Chicago i didnt had to wait long, went to get a beer with Robert and than i was off to Edmonton! Ofcourse really excited when i got there. Robert said it wasnt gonna be like in America, they would be friendly and welcome me to Canada. Well, think again..
I had to go to immigration, and he started to ask all sort of things about me and chris, and why i was visiting him. he wanted to call him to check it all out. Because my sell wasnt working i had to take my informationmap, and than he wanted to check that out.. stupid of me, wont make that mistake again in mexico, because of the information in my map he found out im going to work in mexico afterworths. So he asked for my working permission... since i didnt have one, thought it wouldnt be smart to lie about it... anyway, i hope he wasnt planning to call mexican immigration, otherwise it will be very difficult to get into Mexico... On to better things now. Got my luggage, and there was Chris. Allready sat there for an hour and a half because he wouldnt want to be late, the sweetheart, he got my roses and everything. So that moment i realised everything was gonna be ok, because u never know.
The cold-shock was luckilly not that bad. It was minus thirtheen but i was ok since sweety Valerie lend me her winter jacket ;-)
So that was yesterday!
